Homestuck Squares

If you are not familiar with Homestuck this card will probably mean little to you. Even so, hopefully there's something you can get out of it! The card is inspired by 12 of the characters who are all grey-skinned trolls who tend to wear black shirts with coloured symbols on them. You may recognise the symbols as those of the zodiac signs. To get the symbols on the squares I tried a few techniques, but settled on using squares in the colour I needed for the symbol, and colouring in the negative space with a black marker. To make this easier I first drew the symbol on with the matching marker (or VersaMarker in the case of Elegant Eggplant since the marker came out so dark it was hard to tell the difference between the Eggplant and black). I then cut all the horns from Daffodil Delight cardstock (in some cases, with the assistance of punches) then added bands of Pumpkin Pie and Tangelo Twist marker.
