Blame it on the Paisley

I just couldn't help myself... this idea wouldn't leave me alone! I spent some time yesterday cutting out bits of paisley from all the images I stamped up for Kristina's colour challenge, then sticking them on to another image of the Paisley and then just adding a bit of ribbon to finish it off. Idealy, or not depending on your opinion of the sanity of the idea, I would've cut out everything, but it was taking forever and I had other things to do. I also contemplated popping some bits up on dimensionals, but you've got to draw the line somewhere...

All supplies by Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Paisley
Inks: River Rock,
Purely Pomegranate, Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi
Accesories: Whisper White taffeta ribbon, Fairytale Ribbon Originals

this is such a pretty "left-overs" card! I think it looks nice the way it is, not too busy and definately not too plain!

I actually did the same thing as you. After completing the challenge I had another idea floating through my head and it wouldn't leave me alone. So I made the card and I love it. I will post it soon on my blog. I don't quite feel as silly now I know I'm not the other one with a design stalker!

Also I do love your idea. Its stunning and very different. I would be very happy with this card.

You're right Carol - you ARE nuts - but we all love our nuts right?!

No matter how nuts you are - this card is just gorgeous!

what a great way to put together all the scrapbits into this gorgeous card! i know what you mean about having to draw the line somewhere - i made a card with buttons & brads and just wanted to put a brad and button on everything that i saw :)

i should go back and do something with all my leftover bits :) your card is a great inspiration!!

best wishes,
sankari

Hi Carol, this looks really great. I think you were right to stop where you did. As my friend Robyn says (when I ask her if my card or scrapbook page needs anything else) "Step away from the page!" LOL!
