KW Colour Inspiration #32

Another fab colour combination for Kristina's challenge this week. I still have a few ideas going around in my head, but this is what I went with first - I wanted lots of white and a touch of metallic. The backgound stamping was done in silver and embossed with clear embossing powder. I didn't want this to stand out as much as other aspects of the card, so I went with the clear embossing as it gives a softer finish. I very nearly went with the Beachfront ribbon over the top of the Pomegranate satin but it was over-powering things a bit too much, and the spotty pomegranate ribbon matches the fun font much better.

In pox news, things are settling down and today has probably been the best day so far for both Tiarna and myself (even though I thought I'd be dead tired from staying up and watching Survivor - man I love fake immunity idols!). The cool weather may have had something to do with it, but I've found them much less annoying today.

All supplies by Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White
Stamp Set: Merry Merry
Inks: Encore Silver, Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: clear embossing powder, mini glue dots, Pretties Kit, 1 3/8" circle punch, White Aluminium circle tags, Beachfront Ribbon Originals, Sherbet Ribbon Originals, dimensionals
Show watched while creating: Heroes

~*~ETA: the pox didn't inspire the all the flat-back pearls, the silver beaded thing up the back of the inspiration photo inspired them.

A truly beautiful and elegant card, Carol!

All those flat-backed pearls...did the chicken pox inspire their use? *grin*

Carol,
Simply gorgeous, so elegant in it's simplicity. I'm always eager to see your latest creations and I'm never disappointed, but this is just magnificent.

Your cards are always photographed to perfection with every detail clearly defined. Would you be prepared to do a short post to let people know what set up/camera settings etc that you use? I think a lot of people would be interested.

Regards, Robyn Little (fellow Survivor fanatic)

Wow! This is a card that certainly appeals to me as I am a butterfly and pearl girl and I am in a very strong beads mood recently. I might try something similar.
