Cinema Saturday #32

AKA "All In The Ballet Studio".

This week's Cinema Saturday movie is the much anticipated "Twilight". This weeks requirements were the colours red and black, and sparkle - of course!

I had this idea for a spinner card of the ballet studio scene pretty much since I started doing Twilight stuff with the All In The Family set, however it wasn't until I started working on it the other day that I thought it all through. What Alice actually does to James isn't all that obvious in the movie itself, but if you watch the extras of the 2-disc set they do show Alice completely ripping James' head off and throwing it in the fire. I knew I wouldn't be able to include Emmet and Jasper holding James' arms, as one of their heads would be obscured by the spinner and look odd. I also knew Alice would have to be on James' back instead of his front, so we could see her face. I hadn't thought of what head I would use for James, but in the end there was only one option: he has long hair it's just pulled back. So for the sake of this card we'll say Edward pulled his pony tail out during their fight lol .

As I thought about the arangement of the card, I realised there was going to be "dead space" in the bottom right, with James and Alice on the left and the spinner going along the top. It didn't take me long to realise that having Bella laying there would be perfect! Bella is bleeding Riding Hood Red from the glass chunk being imbedded into her leg, and she has some Dazzling Diamonds on her wrist from where James bit her (which isn't mentioned in the movie but I just had to include it because it amuses me!). I've also used my StazOn "marker" again, to selective ink up James' jacket, James' and Bella's heads, and Alice's dress.

Here are some "action shots" of the card.

That card just made my day! Thank you! It is so funny! I love Alice and I loved that they let her tear off his head. I only wish they could have had the line in the movie about how Alice had too much fun fabricating the accident.

How fun and creative you are! Thanks for letting me know what happened on the extended version, I just had the first one when I watched it! I also didn't realize why Edward was sucking her blood until I read the book and realized that James had bit her and he was sucking out the poison! Fun card, you have such a great imagination!
